Revenge Is Sweet-Story
We were cruising around the block with nothing to do with no reason to act a fool So we made a plot to hit the old mans spot Just to knock off his mailbox I was in the back seat with a baseball bat I grabbed the brim of my hat and I turned it back I rolled down the window of the Cadillac I leaned out to get a good swing and all I heard was CRACK I didn't think that he'd know we'd come do it again I didn't think revenge was in that man Now they rushed me down to the emergency room It's been three hours since they said they'd see me soon The doctor said "oh my God what happened to you?!" Get me pain killers and I'll tell you the truth We were cruising around the block with nothing to do With no reason to act a fool I was in the back seat with a baseball bat I grabbed the brim of my hat and I turned it back I rolled down the window of the Cadillac I leaned out to get a good swing and all I heard was CRACK Now I'm sitting here And I'm talking to you How bad is it Doc? Tell me the truth [Doctor speaking] "Well didn't you know? You broke both of your arms. Well now you know But don't be alarmed. I bet you learned your lesson And won't do it again As an adolescent I did the same dumb thing. We were cruising around the block With nothing to do With no reason To act a fool I was in the back seat With a baseball bat I grabbed the brim of my hat And I turned it back I rolled down the window of the Cadillac I leaned out to get a good swing And all I heard was CRACK This type of thing I see Happens every week Like I said It also happened to me Was the mailbox number 123? Was the house on Mulberry St? I bet you learned your lesson And won't do it again I've got a confession I'm that "old man" I filled the mailbox up With concrete I'm glad we had this talk Revenge is sweet"
