Fragments
By Laura Dee October 24, 2014 I'll look inside the shattered wreck The pieces of my broken neck I'll tear the fabric of the herd That brought my tears in every word Until the echoes prove to be Too much pain or ecstasy Childish games that I embrace Making plans I'll just erase So make it count, this place and time Take from me what you designed I'll bend your way until you leave The broken prophets we believed Threw my promises all away Couldn't make my demons stay It's like I'm staring into the light The end of lies I thought were right Could everything just be that fake? These words were never yours to take Or was it just my reckoning? Through hazy days and reasoning Cmon take my spirit there Depart a million strands of hair Longer threads in lucid dreams Fleeting as the moment seems Amazingly the feeling leaves I never thought I would believe I'm crying out cause hell is real Yeah, that is really how I feel Why did I reinstall this stupid prison Wall? How could I fall into this state of withdrawal? So tired of burning candles at both ends Burnt out into ashes of the sins I'll never defend So call me jaded and compromised Pull the threads of my grand demise Or surprise yourself and hold my hand Maybe one day you'll understand [Listening to "Shreds" by Grieves] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFM8PFPSr9g
