Heart Love
Why is it I struggle so much to find love? With the heart that I have it should fit like a glove. I’m kind and I’m loving, dedicated and funny, yet the girls that I meet all seem drawn to the money, What job do I do and how much do I earn? What you can do for me is their only concern. So they go for the men who work all kinds of hours, put work before love and appease them with flowers. But what happens when material things lose their lure? And the emptiness comes that seeps down to their core. Climbing the ladder, success and ambition, an illusion of mind not a human condition. Our hearts yearn for love but most live in their mind, one leads to freedom and the other will bind. In the years of my twilight when it’s time for reflection, it’s the love that I shared I’ll reminisce with affection. And I know that you’re out there and you’ll come when its time, and when you read this your heart will resonate with this rhyme.
