Ghost of the Future
No eerie echo penetrates the night behind a moon-swept hill that lies far distant from my sight. There is no apparition on the mystic plain, but there he is, inside a place that time and space may not contain. We await each other since he left his calling card so many years ago. I didn't know that it was he that first time although the intervening years have seen the evidence of many more along the path. And now the time grows short until we meet as ghosts indeed, exchanging spirit observations as we move encumbered only by an eidolonic quest that may have rattled at my aging, fleshly brain before I came. However, to be sure, I do not know. I havn't seen him yet, although I am aware of him, and I expect that he may be the impatient one and even more like me, is primed to speed our conversation on. Peace, my friend; forgive me it is yours already. Now when they validate my passport I shall join you on the trail. I'm looking forward to it-- there, among the haunts of love. ~
