Pets Should Be Beloved Not Beaten
In the misty drifts that blocked my view a certain figure became clearer. A man with a cane and a mean scowl too walked up the sidewalk and drew nearer. I heard loud shouts as I squinted my eyes then I noticed him dragging a little pup. It was on a chain and emitted sharp cries with a look on it's face of giving up. He kicked the pup and screamed at it too. Called it names and kicked it again. I felt my anger intense and true rushing like lightening to my brain. Not one more thought but for hurting this brute harming a defenseless pet as he did. I kicked him repeatedly with my boot. Knocked him out with a garbage can lid! I freed the pup and we made our escape into the city streets and beyond. Feeling like Superman minus his cape we made our way to my grandma's pond. Now a brand new home that puppy had and I had vented my teenage fury. So it seems some good came from the bad. To that nasty old man I was judge and jury! written by Deb Wilson September 7th,2014 for Jared's contest
