Diary of Her Mind
I met her on a hot night, mid July Could see she was crying, tears in her eyes A lonesome lady needing, a lonesome man like me She held my hand, tears falling free She lay her head, on my shoulder and cried Sharing pains, from lifes journey In the lavender sky, as evening fell I felt her heart, beating together with mine Watching her sleep, secrets were showing Hidden away, in the diary of her mind Morning came, a bright new day Empty alone, she went her own way Imaging space, lying next to me Traces of tears, was all I could see Walking alone, empty searching Listening for echoes, my pains my crying Alone again, dreaming to find Seeking for answers, inside her mind Trembling to hold, was left behind Dreaming to open, the diary of her mind
