Dancing at the disco I espy the woman of my dreams Wearing a lavender basque top and painted on jeans Her smile is so dazzling there is nothing to compare I can’t help feeling I know her from somewhere Oh gosh now I remember she works at the local nick She stopped me once for speeding but my smile it did the trick I will just amble over and say ‘hello hello hello’ I’m having palpitations my heart is beating so Would you like a little dinner, I've got some soup on my tie I'd like to say I'm always serious but that would be a lie I can dance like John Travolta and you're my kind of girl Test my boasting on the dance floor as I give you a twirl You talk and I will listen and learn the story of you I'll be truly fascinated to know of all you say and do Though I think you're lovely its not looks that attract I was drawn to you by destiny and knew I had to act. That’s a novel chat up line I really like a witty guy I couldn’t help but notice you; your dancing caught my eye The last time I saw dancing like that was my dear old dad But one look at your perfect tush I think your not half bad Lets sit down together and you can buy me a glass of wine I like your deep brown eyes; I think we’ll get on fine Gosh with all this talking I forgot to say I’m Kim I’m separated from my husband I want to forget him Ha Ha cheeky monkey, do you usually dance around a pole Lets see if you're so cocky dancing to a little rock and roll Wolf down that glass of wine and let me put you through your paces Because I think your ex is over there pulling funny faces But I can tell from your demeanour that you're really over him My first name is Tommy and I'm pleased to meet you Kim Wow, you can really dance girl, you can boogie with the best Are you up for a little jiving or do you need a rest ? I sure can dance and have some fun But I will admit I’m a working mum My husband left me for his ‘latest one’ I’m divorcing him and looking for some fun I’m happy to meet you for a meal Lets get to know each other –that’s the deal Here’s my mobile number – I’m free tomorrow But let me make it clear let’s take this nice and slow You must be so proud of being a working mum Raising a child these days must cost a tidy sum There will be no rush and I will earn your trust I consider your ex a man but I'm afraid only just For men who betray give all men a bad name I promise you Kim, men are not all the same Thanks for your number and I promise I'll ring One day at a time and see what tomorrow might bring.
