Lonely Days Are Over - Chapter 4 - Fighting Back Tears
Writing…Fighting Back Tears… Hiding…away from my endless fears Biting my lips, Trying to will it all away – The pain’s having its way – I go on my knees and pray Leaving bite marks… I Gottah get a grip… Your hope slips Away…away into the ebony, shady abyss, It begins to sway away… Sway as you may! Have it your way! Fighting back tears of guilt And what’s left of it from yesterday – Oh Lord of Accord, I need to be rebuilt! I’m starting to gray just like the dismal sky today Aim at being good at what you do Well, I’m good at loving you Loving you is not easy though I must go with the flow Biting my lips, wetting my lips, Leaving sopping bite marks Aim at being good at what you do Well, I’m good at loving you… That’s for certain – it’s true! It’s true! I love you, though I’m disheartened and blue… Maybe a little insane . . . see me through the pane Devour the pain…that I feel in the heart – I’m lost in my outlandish terrain Disconsolate clouds hover overhead, Releasing rain of disdain, I fought those wretched tears, but it drenched me with another load of dread Loving you is not easy though I must go with the flow Understand that God is there For you and I Through thick and thin – no lie! Lonely days are over Though I still have tears to shed You’re as lucky as a 5-leaf clover Don’t make my mind overwhelmed with dread Put you faith in Him, So that our light bulbs won’t dim! Examine ourselves…Reflect on ourselves… Fighting back tears, Removing them from the shelves… Replacing them with hopes without a trace of fear! Don’t put our responsibilities on different shelves Take them off those dirty, little shelves A new Tomorrow indicates unconditional peace No more raindrops from bitter clouds – Have some consideration Give us space, Depression Shrouds! Fighting back tears – deleting my dreadful doubts! Keep a lookout with me Be alert everywhere you go, you see? Ignore the tears I shed Don’t let it get to your head…your head… The storm that gives everyone destruction and decadence – don’t feel the dread Don’t feel the dread…put your doubts to bed Bring your high hopes to life – I’m hoping they would put to death strife . . .
