Destiny
Destiny He is the man who falls short despite doing all he could and all he can. He walks and runs for miles. Endures his numerous trials. Stands his ground in the midst of all that beguiles. She is the woman who searches for love. When in her weakest moments, she is taken advantage of. Yet she chooses to let go and rise above. They are the family that escaped Hurricane Katrina. They braved the world of chaos, death, and loss to arrive at yet another filthy arena. They longed for the security of a home. Now, they never think twice of taking for granted or question the value of clean clothes, a toothbrush or a comb. He is the orphan boy who longs to be anyone's pride and joy. He loves his books and he likes to draw. His stories and his art leave his audience to stare in awe. She is a foster child. Her father died and her mother went wild. She's never had pretty pink bows to decorate beautiful blonde hair that's never been styled. She stares upon a cold wall at bedtime for fear of the children who mock that she's shy. She wishes upon the stars she can't see that someone would lull her to sleep with her favorite lullaby. Lonely hearts and souls like these come together in whole to understand why life is so unfair. Sometimes they find the answers they're looking for. Other times, the answers simply aren't there. They are then left in want of something more. Our souls long to know how to change what is beyond our control. Acceptance isn't an easy answer and it never will be. But, that's one certain answer to fate and destiny. We may never know how, why, or when. That's how accepting some things that cannot be changed and others that are still beyond our control comes in again. It doesn't always make sense but one day it will, hitherto hence. Destiny has found its soul mate in fate.
