Scary Moments
It's scary to think of such things I've gone through, or maybe have seen Listen close to the words Shh. Just read Average day could do no wrong As screams running through the hall I panic , to check the case My sister urged me into the room I saw the terror in her face I asked what happened, she replies "The door! It just busted open " Mother whispers of evil spirits "They've let themselves in!" The jolt of fright trembled our feet So now you've found yourself In a room full of fears Trapped there with sisters tears Heart beat drowned pain you felt The slow footsteps that made you melt It must be a joke, this isn't real! Until we watched the knob turn Gently and slow, our bodies still "Block the door!" I yelled Don't let it in! Watching the door open We could only wonder As the figure creeped Each step brought weakness In our bodies to fade to sleep ... The first night soon went As if a dream meant to measure Our worst nightmare The reality of when... It came back the second... -J.W
