The Man In Black and the Woman In Red
He crept through the alley, nary a creak Sauntering through down the dark avenue Cane twirling, hat riding a widow's peak Slicked back hair with the mustache trimmed up too A cheerful tune whistled from his thin beak In his hands holds he a dangerous brew Feather fingers tickle over the brim Halogen hallucinations blind him She wore red leather and lace petticoat Find her at the altar of all despair Cold white wine rivers in her desert throat Her libations poured to Venus the fair She holds court alone, her castle a moat Her gloves weaving black magic in thin air She met a jewel thief who quickly made Off with her ruby crown during his raid Her dress billowing in the summer heat Clinging to a mountain in the middle Four arms circle the harvest of the wheat She smiles now at the sound of the fiddle Razorblade hands and teeth pulling back the sheet Within her cave she spun a riddle A face peeks over a cradle and spies The royal pair from the Kingdom of lies ------------- First attempt at this form.
