Things Are Changing Now
This was a journey of heart and soul and body. A place of such beauty and yet my mind longed for more...... I asked not to be moved from my home but the father of my children did it all. That’s how I got so far away. I protested but in the end, money won and I hadn’t any. So, I adapted as women do and bonded with trees and shells and water. The speed of life was slower yet I wasn’t. It felt wrong, incongruous even. I tolerated as women do and piled on warm things in the weather shivered at my table. Nothing smelled right here, I longed for saltwater, sand and sunny days I hoped as women do and cast prayers upon the waterways stood upon my deck and asked of the moon Please take me away feed my mind, care for my body and soul Let there be a way..... A way has come and I’m going soon to the land of sand and sunshine to salten air and long walks and surfer boys with boards again I’m grateful for lessons learned, but boy am I ready. Let it be good this time.
