Fantasy, I Hope
The pheasants soar at the slightest sound The quail take cover close to the ground The mourning dove coos away Regardless that it’s hunting day. The timid deer try to hide Unless there is a car near by Then they decide to take a stand To prove to you this is their land. The elk, the moose, the mountain goat Have no chance with a scope They prop their guns and fire away Another successful hunting day. And there they are upon the wall To prove the mighty hunter won once more Can Mother Nature again full fill the need To keep up with the hunters greed? When the food supply is gone Will it be long before man is done Or can man invent a way To live on pills every day. Some live on pills already now And act like wild animals With gun in hand they go berserk Is this the future of the earth? Cile Beer Don't take this the wrong way I have a family who hunts. I just let my mind drift.
