Mother
Becoming a mother has been my pride and joy I gave birth to an absolutely amazing little boy They call it labour - believe me it was hard work But it was a job I could never ever shirk When they lay the little one on your chest No emotion can describe it – it’s simply the best They don’t arrive with hand books, that really is a shame You just try your best to get it right, don’t attribute any blame I’m not advocating we got everything right But we tried our best with all our might No matter how our kids turn out We try our best to nurture them, of that I have no doubt Mothering Sunday will soon be here I still have my own mum I hold her so dear Becoming a mum myself has made me appreciate all she did I don’t suppose you think of this when you are a little kid Submitted to M contest old or new Sponsored by Constance la France 28th March 2014
