First Date
The day so was special the dreams were so true I stood right beside her no heart beat I knew From suttle wit and nowhere came the words that I would ask this day With gentle fear protruding here I stood and asked the question shared How many chances out of ten would I have in going out with you With heart beat broken beating thoughts I waited for her quick report with suttle gifts and quick reply she responded with an eight I thought well that is fairly high maybe I should take a try would you like a movie night with silent fear I did reply We agreed to our night out this young girls gifts did scream and shout She did not want to meet at home the village pub we'd call our own so I turned up at six oclock I sat a drank and watched the clock Waiting there with broken heart she did not come or play her part When the daylight came around I went to work with my heart down There I found that she had come I had not thought I had not seen she was to young to drink my queen Well I had waited baited breath she waited out I waited in I did not get my first date out
