Summer Enchanting
The morning sun arising into view, Sends forth his rays to warm each butterfly. He quickly shines his light to sparkle dew. Then, paints the earth with beauty from on high. Sunflowers raise their heads up to the sky. Then, bumblebees into the flowers sink. They have their fill of nature’s precious drink. A child with ribbons flowing from her dress, Runs laughing through a field with flowers thick. True love, or not, those petals will confess. She fills small hands with dandelions, quick. Then, runs beside her favorite bubbling creek. And sits upon a rock, to one by one, Pluck petals from the bloom ‘til love is won. He loves me; he loves me not; he loves me, He loves me not; sweetly she chimes with smiles. Those yellow flowers quickly shall decree, What fate befalls her love as fancy wiles! Soon charms of fallen petals, trust beguiles. Until the yellow roses sent from him, Reclaims the passion lost upon this whim.
