Reminiscing the Past
I’ve thought of you from time to time but now I can’t get you off my mind. It’s hard to explain what I feel in my heart and I’m not even sure I know where to start. I hear in your voice when I talk to you that maybe you feel the same way I do. I get really nervous when we say our goodbyes and I try so hard not to look in your eyes. I remember one time when you held me tight, it was at that moment I saw the light. The light of my future, the light of my dreams, and everything else was as it seems. You’re charming and witty in your own secret way and you sure haven’t changed much since the very first day. There’s a certain way when you say my name, I melt when I hear it each time it’s the same. There’s something there I’m just not sure, for this broken heart, is this my cure? For all those times our eyes have met, I just can’t help it, I can’t forget. There’s a connection we made, and part of me wished I could've stayed.
