War Torn
Barrel bombs dropping from the sky as people wait in line for bread Just another day as ninety more will die with already so many dead As for the last two and a half years with no one to help in sight All they have left is their tears which is the reason why they fight There were seventeen attacks today just in the last four hours alone The city now littered with decay as the violence has only grown The young and innocent, they are so afraid and with no one there to care Every morning as I prayed I mentioned all those children in my prayer Such a complete killing machine with torture and enforced disappearance You can't know what all this could mean the lasting effects being so immense And now that the winter season is hear oh how cold it has now also been Too cold for even one drop of a desperate tear so caught up in such tragic sin There is no happy ending to what I write but an end has now begun For how long can they continue to fight though they still won't run America with Her Hands in Her pockets choosing not to intervene Suddenly the red glare of our rockets to the world seems so green
