Neptune's Net
Story:  Neptune's Net               Malibu, California  By:  Ken Jordan Edited by: Sparkle Jordan written: August/2012 A moment in time came for my wife and I,  in mid August (2012). It was a beautiful seventy five degree Sunday, around mid morning. We had breakfast just off the coast in Santa Monica. It was our last day of a two day visit to Southern California.  We visited Venice, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, and Santa Monica Pier. Our plans were to drive up the PCH, (Pacific Coast Highway, or California 1) to the most talked about Neptune's Net Sea Food Restaurant in Malibu. We engaged upon our trip around 11am heading some forty miles up the coast on the Pacific Coast Highway. Traffic out of Santa Monica, was crawling along the narrow two lane famous highway.  Beach goers were exiting there way to various beaches, some were sightseeing, some were traveling and some didn't know where they were going.  All I know is, it made forty miles seem like a hundred, a hundred beautiful breathtaking miles. After the log jam of traffic, it was smooth sailing all the way to Neptune's Net.  Driving north on the PCH from Santa Monica, there are no words to express the beauty of the scenery surrounding the highway.  The Pacific Ocean is to your left, and Mountains with multi-million dollar homes on sea cliffs to your right, it was an unforgettable journey.  Just straight ahead is Neptune's Net, a thousand motorcycles line the front entrance way, and the parking lot is nearly full, except there's one spot waiting for my wife and I. While there we ordered the seafood platter which consisted  of clams, calamari, crab, fried cod, prawns, and thick cut home fries.  It was well worth the trip.  If you're ever in the area, please check out Neptune's Net, Seafood Restaurant, you want be disappointed.
