Fearing the Sail
Even though you're hours upon hours away... You make me feel like a whirlpool being fueled by the rain... Sucking up every word and hmmm that you breathe... Constantly drowning all of the doubts that tread in my seas... That float above the roaring of emotions within.... The eye of my heart where there's love that you've given.... There's strength in my pull and weakness in my control... The stories of sailors that would have been left untold... But along with the words and the feelings that swam... I sucked it all in and unwillingly slammed... Your thoughts and emotions into the ships that to the left, failed to hurl... So the constant pulling of my whirls, swirls, and watery curls... Brought you in faster... But there's none of your laughter... You're still being pulled in deeper hoping for no disaster... Coming into a whirlpool in the middle of the sea.. Seeing it's a place most wouldn't actually want to be... You wait and try to wield the wheel willingly to the right... Knowing that you're sailing in with the sturdiness of a knight... But you're still trying to see what exactly you're doing... While feeding my pool with your many anxious uncertainties... Along with your secrets and desires as well as new beginnings.... No longer catching fish but these heavily unapproachable feelings... All the while.. Not even knowing... Whether the outcome is bound to be life or death... Yet you're still holding on while dodging loose regrets... Trying to stay on your deck in my being... The winds still pushing yet you're not even fleeing.... I want the winds to ease and the rain to cease.... The clouds to part and to restore calming in my seas... With you in your ship as safe as can be... Catching as much fish as you could possibly... Where the sun's warmth is barely an itchin'... and the on your skin the sea breeze is kissin'... With a smile on your face and no tears from your eyes... As my waves repay you with a push towards the skies... Don't be afraid when the waves are still... That doesn't mean there's no life underneath to be called real... It's just that the wind is working up some courage... To fly above the water that needs to be encouraged... To keep your ship floating with you singing your song... Giving me the honor to help move you along... To wherever it is that you want to go... In my seas you may not stay... Just be sure to leave the boat... Because I can never... At anytime... get up and walk away... For I am the lingering ocean.. therefore I'll continue to sway... Even if you leave your ship and walk amongst the land... You can always get back in the boat that you left in the sand... Sunset or sunrise... I'll watch for you sailing towards the unreachable skies... With my glistening waves that WILL rise.. again... Will be sure to sail you all the way to your destination...
