Trayvon
Poet: Ken Jordan Poem: Trayvon Edited by: Sparkle Jordan written: July/2013 We just lost another  One America - Trayvon  Martin is dead - Trayvon Martin, is dead - This time Is no different  from the  last time, a young  black male was gunned down from the hands of  Bodacious  ignorance and  fear - There's  no other explanation  one can give, why this had to be - A cataclysm, solely because  of  the color of a man's skin - What a hell of a price Trayvon, paid for such an outrageous  act of hate - Trayvon Martin, did not deserve to die based on racial  stereotypes that assume  black males wearing hoodies are gangsters - Trayvon, was not in a gang, he had no weapons  of any kind - Just a kid walking home - Pow! Pow! bullets  rang out in the night - Another one gone America -   Yet, you see nothing wrong - You freed a murderer, with no regards to the laws of civil rights - Trayvon, like any young black male had hopes and  dreams - He was somebody's son - Now all that's left, is the memory of him, and  thoughts of what he could  have become - But on that unforgettable night, a white man fulfilled the prophecy  of life expectancy for young black male's - Trayvon, was only seventeen - Pow! Pow! bullets rang out in the night - Another one gone America - When will it stop!? Your idea of equal rights is far from equal - Trayvon  Martin, is dead, while his murderer walks free -
