Gave Up
I gave up with a sign of defeat I let go of everything I dreamt I told her I wouldn't say goodbye I've seen tears come to her eyes I held her hands close to mines Took her heart and broke it apart Watched her fly away with the wind that blows every other day Saw her smile that let go of all she had Touched her heart only to be like that of a dis- honest man Gave her my all when my all wasn't enough Let her see a side of me to which I never knew Only a crazy man would give up on the love he has for his lover Only a blind man cannot see a heart that beats But he can feel the heart that beats A special heart that no one can see To me I am that crazy man who gave up I let my mind say no to my heart too many times If only I was that blind man who only could feel that special heart I need no eyes because I rather feel the touch of love than see it She was beautiful yes she was I hurt her heart But I will never forget a memory that always has a start
