Questions
Is it when you see the whisp of light starting to come into sight? Is it when the destination you had imagined being starts to fade? Is it at the moment of intense trepidation, when your fingers start to tremble from a single warm embrace? Is it when your heart is so close that it's all you can taste? Is it when you hear the train whistle blow? When you have reached a moment of pause; whether to stay or whether to go? Is it when you have taken something so beautiful into your hands and you never want to let it go? Or maybe it is when you feel you can't take any more? Do you continue to clamor and struggle with all your might? Is it truly noble to win that fight? At the end of the day, when it is all said and done, is it then that the battle has just begun? Is it when you look back and realize how far you have come; does it balance and justify the total or sum? Is it when you tire and are weary? Maybe that is the time we see most clearly? For all the times we have given our best. No matter how many bullets you take to the chest. No matter how much they rip and tear. There is a reason why you are there. You will stand and you will test. Until your heart and soul finally rest. When your dreams are realized and the pain has faded. When the burdens are lifted and new memories created. When the walls have tumbled and all that's left is your heart; and you've won that battle from the very start. For giving your all and never giving up. Is that when you know how far is enough?
