September Nights
darkness sneaks in through moonlit-creased skies and scribbles on these lonely walls, it's not night that propositions me, it's memories (and you) coming from within long, lonely nights that echo with doors slamming shut on the command of a seasoned wind. as another night arrives, i tuck myself in as the moon does beneath her feathered-clouds, my breath is as moist as night's air as i drift off to sleep. night's shadows seduce me, pressing me harder and harder atop this tangled web of sheets, that hold me tighter than thoughts yet my mind is naked, more so than i as i rush towards the peak of this moment, this night that can't end all too soon. i listen to the stroke of clock's hands as they rape me of emotion i hear the bells toll and revisit that moment again i mourn beneath night's veil hours before i arise with morning alone... awaking to the rise and fall of winded breath, howling just outside my window
