The Grand Dilemna
As night draws on I get embittered, “Nothing has been achieved”. As morning draws on I hope night will never give way, “Each day is like yesterday”. As I try to be idle I get scared, “Nothingness and emptiness is what it breeds”. As I try to get busy I get discouraged, “It may end how it has always ended”. As I try to keep to myself I keep travelling to wonderland And from there to slumber land; As I try to interact with people What I see in most makes me sad I nearly go mad. As I try to be kind to people I start nursing double mind, “It may never be appreciated”; As I try to be wicked I get mad at myself, “Why try to ruin myself?” As I try to take life by its horns I wonder if my attempt is of any use Life itself seems of no use; I always rebuke myself Whenever I wish I’m dead, I say “such are the thoughts of cowards.”
