Magic Dragons
I was just a little boy And dragons abounded, this I was sure So out I went, on a sun filled day To slay the fiercest of all dragons I packed a lunch I knew this was an all day affair Dragon slaying was a serious business And off I marched, to the local bogs I dreamed of all the fame I would have The mightiest of all dragon slayers Why all the village and even church Would honor my noble deeds Riches would surely follow As I sold his hide and fiery tongue Surely three arrows I would need To conquer such a mighty foe Well the bog was wet and the going somewhat slow Alas the dragon, like magic appeared Somewhat smaller than I dreamed He smiled, and said good day young man!!! Hardly a scary dragon at all He inquired as to what I had in my sack I replied, me lunch and three arrows to defeat you The dragon smiled, and offered to heat up my lunch How could one refuse such kindness? Truth be told I was kinda hungry too! So there we sat on an old fallen log As I shared my meal with a dragon Tomorrow I shall return Just a little boy, poorer still I will bring another lunch To share with my new friend in the bog
