Searching For Me
I often swing alone at night questioning the stars I see. Is there anyone out there searching for me. A lost friend, or forgotton love maybe someone I don't even know. Could I be someone's reason why they must hurry up and go? My entire life has been a chase running after happiness, love, and friends. When do I get to stop and be found, or will my searching never end. Sometimes the phone does not ring; hardly anyone comes to visit. Whats wrong with me, or my house? How come no one takes time to kick it? Countless days and nights I've spent, so friendship they could always see. What if I stayed home awhile; would any of them be searching for me? I bump into love, only left to cry. I find friends, but they always have others. Will anything ever come to me? My mind often wonders. Well the searching is over for now, because I'm waiting to be found. I'm waiting to be happy, or maybe I'm waiting only to be let down.
