Tidal Waves
Sort of Empty Inside Sort of Dying Slowly I can never, ever hide From you and everything you do How do I run from the tidal waves That crash into me and you? Our love, dark in caves Homeless nights and pointless plights How do we escape this burden? How do we stop all these fights? I hide from you endlessly You promise you'd sing me anything Soft and Sweet or loud and out of key But I don't want everything I've got a hitch in my throat As I stare in your deep eyes I've run out of hope Tidal waves and cloudy skies Are all that I can see They blind me of you and our tainted love This is the end of you and me You're perfect, an angel from above But So Long and Goodnight I can't take love anymore I can't take this pretending light What are you mad for? Can you hear me? Are you near me? Can we pretend to meet again? When things are better...in the end?
