Our Savior
Long time ago in Bethlehem, Just next to south Jerusalem, A baby was born, worth far more than any treasure, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, humanity's Savior. Mary was the name of his mother, And Joseph the name of his father. He is one like no other, As he's also the son of our Heavenly Father. At the age of 30, Jesus started preaching, Many was changed by his teachings. Among the people he had great popularity, Which soon incurred the wrath of the jealous Pharisees. Jesus had 12 disciples, As was told in the Bible. They all loved him dearly, Even Judas, who betrayed him eventually. One night, as Jesus was praying at Gethsemane, The Jewish leaders arrived with an army. Betrayed by a kiss, the Son of Man, Was captured and to the High Priest sent. Before the High Priest, the false witnesses, Threw at Jesus all sorts of accuses. They sentenced him to death, accusing him of blasphemy, By proclaiming he's the Son of God he became the people's enemy. They brought him before Pontius Pilate, demanding a death sentence, To which at first he showed reluctance. But after a while he washed his hands, And sentenced to death an innocent man. At Golgotha Jesus died on the cross, Not for his sins but mine and yours. But that's not the end of story, Three days later he revived, full of glory! Our Lord Jesus is risen, He promised to come one more time. When he does we will also be risen, So let us all prepare for that time.
