Self Portrait
As I take my palette of words Wondering which shall I first use A portrait of my self I would not wish to abuse I have a confidence That has been learnt the hard way My feet are on the ground But point forward, the only way. My heart is large and loving My temper can be short But I never hold a grudge And revenge is never sought. Green eyes that look with love At eyes the colour of mine A nose from my dad But my legs are rather sublime. A smile is never far away I deem that number one A smile should be for everyday A smile for everyone. A model I would never be There is too much of me But I have never really wanted To flaunt me publicly. With my palette of words I hope you can now see me And hang me on your wall As a dartboard for all to see. © 22/04/2013 ~GG~
