Taken Too Soon
As I grow order around me I see. The next generation of our family. I love them all without any doubt. But there's one that was special that always stood out. . He was my cousin named Mitchell O'Dell. And all of our lives changed the day that he fell. Life is short or so they say. But never so short as the day he went away. A loving and gentle, wonderful son. Just beginning lifes journey at age twwnty-one. Handsome and smart with his own sense of style. How we wish he was still with us if even just for awhile. A young man's whose presence would light up the room. A young man whose life was taken too soon. Some will say "it's. What God has planned." They can say what they want, I still don't understand. It makes no sense and I ask myself why? What good comes if any when young people die? Maybe to love more in some kind of way. To treasure our lives and be thankful each day. When I look up at stars when they come out at night I pretend that one of them is him, shinning ever so bright. But still as I look up, just past the moon. It still breaks my heart that he was taken too soon. JD Berryhill
