Missing
the stars shone bright the day that I lost a piece of my heart at a very high cost 3 years ago that fateful day my love took wing and flew away He left me alone and wondering why he left with a kiss and a gentle goodbye Eagerly waiting for his joyful return his absence had left me with shadows of scorn I sat by my window and looked at the sky with hope that just maybe you'd come flying by he promised he loved me and to never say never he said he'd come back he'd be with me forever but it's been a long time and my faith started fading I miss him, but wishing will not stop the waiting I hold back the tears but still they will come brokenness binds me and I only feel numb with every new dawn and the hope that I lack I'm starting to realize he's not coming back
