The Beautiful Ghost
Strolling along the seashore Leaving her footprints in the sand The tide washes over the shore It was like the footsteps had never been. She shades her eyes and scans the horizon For a ship that is supposed to come in That carries her precious loved one She has waited for so long to see again. She watches as the ship sails nearer Breathless as her anticipation grows The ship docks and the passengers unload She ask for him but no one knows. Oh where oh where can her loved one be He has been gone for such a very long time He could not have just forsaken her For their love was deep and strong. The last to exit the ship was the captain He walked slowly as he desended down He did not sem to notice the beautiful lady Silently waiting in her white wedding gown. Rumor has it they were to be married By the Captain of the highest rank When the high winds of a raging storm Capsized the ship and it sank. Her body washed ashore, but his was never found It is said she still roams the seashore Waiting fervently for her missing groom Even though she realizes she will see him no more.
