Drama of Our Earth
Life sucks then you die Isn't that how it goes? Our words swill like smoke in the dark And the eyes of chance have closed There was never anything Now That i've time to think Even if we played it right Knew our parts Practiced every night This drama of our earth would change not a shade Our performance not noticed Our Debt still unpaid So why continue? Every single night? Why bother with the clothes? The make up, fake trees or lights? Theres not audience to applaud no flowers thrown No shed tears Just the taste of ash as we take our bow and watch the smoke clear I guess theres no reason Why our show still goes on Our highs and lows Displayed on our faces For all and none to look upon My best chance Is a guess That one night for one show We'll play our parts with such Perfection That it not mater if anyone knows Its just a dream that may never come true But if it does, i'll stop my show Buy the first ticket seated in the front row For another, Different act One never before seen A show where the actors are happy and the storied have meaning Addam Hughes
