Silent Love
She seeks the noise but no sound reaches her mind During the day, she walks the cobblestone path The frustration of silence she wants to leave behind The market’s her design to see what she can find Clickty-clack, the men on horses bustling past her She seeks the noise but no sound reaches her mind The beggars she offers food because she is kind People shouting and yelling selling their goods The frustration of silence she wants to leave behind She tries to find a way to her home but becomes intertwined Trumpets blare, knights emerge, and jugglers perform She seeks the noise but no sound reaches her mind Onto his horse he swiftly lifts her, and she feels divine From the streets he has saved her, the face she remembers The frustration of silence she wants to leave behind Her lover she has found, finally she is defined In his arms he holds her, his love he tells of her She seeks the noise but no sound reaches her mind The frustration of silence she wants to leave behind ©Holly P.
