Your Daddy and I
Your Daddy and I False hope has risen, False hope is here. Disappointment is lending, A listening ear. One pink line, But hopefully two. Two words maybe, But really who knew? Seven weeks passed, Along with all hope. Five weeks passed, How will we cope? Just wanting to hold you, But not getting to, Just wanting to see you, Your daddy and I do. Dirty diapers, And sleepless nights, Riding bicycles. And flying kites. Your first steps walking, How proud we would be, Your words talking, Your daddy and Me. Toys on the floor, And giggles fill the air. Your daddy and I miss you, Our baby teddy bears. To our babies above, With angels wings, I hope you stay happy, For what eternity brings. Your mommy and daddy miss, You precious children you. I wish you could be here with us, But my body couldn’t hold you. In three months time, After loosing two babies, The tears have been cried, Through the why’s and the maybe’s. For all you parents, Who have felt the pain, Who have cried the tears, That have fallen like rain. This one’s for the mothers, Who’ve never got to see, Their beautiful babies’ Eyes, hands or knees. For all you fathers, Who never had the chance, To shoot guns with your son, Or teach your daughters to dance. For all you babies, Who are happy above, Always remember, Our undying love.
