Part 2 of 9/11
He too their son to her parents to search the street Until he was dragging dead on his feet. He searched the hospitals list for her name. Without her their life would never be the same. The fireman said if the didn’t make it out she was trapped inside. He started identifying the bodies on the side. Ciaos rules the streets as he holds her photo up on TV Hoping someone would know where she could be. Deep in his heart he could hear her plea! “Some things wrong And the line to get out seems so long. I don’t have much time to say what I want to say. If you ever fall in love again don’t let her get away. Cherish your moments with Jake each and every day. Tell Jake to stand tall and never lie. Tell him all the time he was the apple of my eye. I know he can’t under stand at age seven But someday I will see you both in heaven And what ever you do Remember I will always love you! If for some reason I can’t make it back to you.” The word came down of what was found. The sight brought grown men to the ground. She was tightly entwined in a circle of bodies on knees in prayer. This is one of many signs and trilogies that life’s not fair. How can people be heartless with out a care? His heart continued to brake. How was he supposed to tell Jake? How much more can is heart take. He was forced to identify the remains in the derbies. He tried to refrain but a husband fell to his knees. In her left hand she was holding her wedding band And her stomach where their unborn child lay with the other hand. On her grave where she lay They carved the words so many had to say. The day Sophie and little Katie went to heaven Was the day of 9/11.
