Perpetual Hell
One step forward, two steps back Breaking point approaching, ready to crack Nerves of steel, bending from the constant stress Rust builds, all strength begins to digress Once a mountain, slowly reduced to a plain Bombarded by hundreds of years of wind and rain Once atop the world, astounded by its beauty Only to fall to the deepest depths, my permanent domain "Long live the King," rang out into the deepest depths of eternity Exile is what has become of me, all past deeds in vain Alone, a bitter cold pierces straight to the bone Fallen from grace into the pit of the unknown Lost, wandering the dreaded halls of the dead Trapped where time stands still, all hope has fled All that remains is thoughts of words unsaid, deeds undone Light does not reside here, darkness drowns out the sun This perpetual hell is what I have grown to call home Trapped with no way out, wandering endlessly all alone
