Dawn
I stood on the cliff top Looking out to the sea. Turning over in my mind Whats going to happen to me. Will the dawn be rosy? Of a reddish hue. Bringing happiness with it Cos i m thinking of you. Or will the  dawn be raining Tears of laughter or pain. Happy to be alive Looking for love again. Will my many friends All so precious to me, Find joy in their lives Be smiling like me. Soon back to work What a day that will be, It will signify to all Life is returning to me. Been lost in a dark road Of surgery and  pain. But like the phoenix I have risen again. Risen above all the chains That held me fast, Risen above the pain I am back at last.   Back to being happy Smile on my face. Footsteps might falter But i have won the race. So many to thank For being there for me, The surgeons, nurses, Friends and family Best have a party So all can share In celebrating the happiness, Of me being still  here. Dedicated to all who have been there for me- my sincere thanks. Seren
