The Chance
What if I die tomorrow? And never get the chance To find my one true love And have that one romance What if that special someone Is waiting patiently But since I’m no longer here He will never have met me As little girls we dream Of how our prince will come And sweep us of our feet Now, that thought seems dumb For if there’s no tomorrow If nothing lies ahead for me I’ll never have experienced Our true love meant to be But what if I stay here On Earth for a long while And he’s the one who passes on I’ll never see his smile I try not to think Of how I may not see The way we would’ve been How he could’ve loved me Some don’t know how I feel They’ve always had “The One” They’ve shared in precious moments They’re worries, they had none I know he’s out there somewhere I just pray that he stays safe But until the moment we meet I’ll just have to have faith I just want to see his face And know that he cared I want us to love each other In the little time we might have shared Who knows where he’s at? We could have already met But what if I die tomorrow? The Chance I’ll never get.
