One Big Facade
It’s like a daily dose of sugar- laced poison Bittersweet agony that came out of no where Like being forced to stare down a loaded gun And trusting your darkest hour not to pull the trigger Like your worst enemy with your heart in their hands And you only want to see them as your old best friend Like watching matches strike against kerosene And only doing it to see the lights flash It’s just like being surrounded by flames With bullets flying past your mind's eye With your heart in the hands of a traitor And all you choose to see and feel and live Is the warmth the flames give The insane feat of lead missing your flesh And your heart’s false security with someone else It’s all a fabricated scenario It’s the one thing you really know And it’s all you ever want life to be
