Mind you, I'm not a very nosy guy and am generally quite discreet, But like my dear old cat, I possess a certain amount of curiosity, So I pulled the curtain aside to see what I could see! "Love thy neighbor as thyself", the Good Book expounds! That'll be mighty hard to do as I curse their six howling hounds, And the teenage kid with dual pipes and boom box in his car, Roaring up and down the street, our tranquility to mar! Their six rowdy ruffians trample my shrubs and pristine lawn. I have no need for an alarm clock since they awake me every dawn! I feel like wringing the scrawny necks of each of the little brats. Those feral little hoodlums are about to drive me bats! Dad has a Harley on which he roars to work each day. Mom, trying to herd her urchins, has a voice heard a mile away! They own half a dozen heaps parked along the thoroughfare, Occupying other peoples' parking spaces but they don't seem to care! Wouldn't it be swell if our neighbors we could choose! I don't want to sound grumpy but I'm being driven to booze! Lord, there must be some relief from this hopeless perdition. It would certainly calm my nerves and improve my disposition! Robert L.
