Clearing a Wardrobe
My wardrobe’s full This won’t go in, though I push and pull There’re clothes in there I’ll never wear Most are too tight for me to bear I think I’ll start to clear them out And dump the ones that are in doubt I’ll only keep the very best I’ll be quite firm, I’ll dump the rest. But there’s a chance I might get slim And lose some inches from my rim I’ll keep the ones that are too small ‘Till I get that thin recall Fashion’s made these out of date But trend’s come back if I wait I’ll keep them just a little longer Till the fashion comes back stronger This suit pocket’s a little torn But if it’s mended, it can be worn This one here is a little faded And it looks a trifle jaded But it feels so comfortable To throw away is just not sensible I’ve spent an hour, then a day Wondering which to throw away. I haven’t made an inch of space I’m in despair, I’m in disgrace
