When Passion Goes Public
she said he said that all it was was a **** all it was was sex all it was was a good time & they both wanted to just up & leave it alone like two young thangs hangin’ in the city just wanting to wake up spent the next morning with nobody by their side so that they could each go back to their normal lives. one thing led to another & they found themselves together again after all it had been so easy the first time around but the policy was the same & the waking up spent with no one next to em’ rang true again so they both breathed their prospective sighs of relief & went about their day. an untimely grip of need sucked in one but not the other & s/he showed up at the other’s work breaking into their life at a moment when they did not expect it & the walls came crashing down because the passion that had been locked safely away behind closed doors bled out into the hallway like that huge gushing wave of red from kubrick’s “the shining.” the why & the how came bustling in simultaneously as the secret lover’s face quickly switched from someone who had all night access to something of a frightening stalker whom the other party now thought belonged on “america’s most wanted” or something of the sort as the policy had been broken as the terms had been changed by one but not the other as there were suddenly strings attached it all seemed much easier for the party yelling for the other to go away (as if they hadn’t spent any time at all with them) to continue doing so, cauterizing the yearning heart strings quicker than her/his friends could even ask who said burned individual was.
