Weather the Change (Of 36 Summers)
I have seen 36 summers 25 of them have felt the oppressive humidity with thunder and the lightning cracking down upon my head stupid but shy, yet ready to become dead Everywhere I go the rain becomes my pain Sweltering and the drench No escape for this miserable wretch All around, the stormy sky without sunny breaks to make one fly Why can't my eyes see a rainbow bright? as the hail smashes against my head, this very night The seasons change these lines on my face continue to re-arrange Every summer since 30 the reality becomes quite clear to peer What have I done, to have accelerated these passing years? It is hard to understand why An aching man turns and suddenly starts to cry This storm will not abate yet I cannot sit still and continue to hope Forever to wait Darkness of the sky Summer 36 tragedy of a simple man His last words(Indeed!) before stretching outward his dying hand Giving permission to God and sweep him away from the world By his own fatherly hand!
