Return To Cherry Hill Park
I have to tell you Billy Joe, about this girl you used to know. You are now singing a sad song. However, many others will come along. I have to tell you quite plainly. The one you now miss is not the best I see. This girl’s name was Mary Hill. You said she was such a thrill. This young woman you found, loved to ride the merry-go-round. She played all day until dark, during those summers in Cherry Hill Park. One day, a man with money, said, “Come on honey”. Without hesitation, she said “Okay”. Suddenly, she went away. Mary played a one-man game. Ever since, it has not been the same. Well, do not dwell on Mary Hill. I know some women who will give you a thrill. Each one will prove to be a delight. If you want to meet them, come by tomorrow night. Based on the 1969 hit song "Cherry Hill Park" by Billy Joe Royal
