The Plan
I sit in my chair With a drink in my hand Reading the words Of woman and man A poem emerges Robust and profound I grab my pen And scribble around With arrows and circles And numbers by phrase Pictures develop That sometimes amaze My pen is the plow That trenches the furrow Planting the seeds For poems tomorrow A seed that is buried Deep in the Earth Breaking the surface At moment of birth I look to the sun I stare at the moon I smell every odor And listen to tunes Crickets and tree frogs A daisy or rose Thunder and lightning A ground that is froze Life is abundant It circles around If you look and you listen You'll see every sound Don't miss a moment Of nature or man Cause all has been given Through Gods greatest plan Nothing happens by chance Rockman :-)
