Deep Are the Scars
Deep Are The Scars Deep are the scars My transgressions have made In my Father’s hands That never will fade They’ll always remind me Of what it cost Him To cover with His blood My ugly sin. Washed by His blood Cleansed whiter than snow Such a sacrifice I’ll never know For even if I Must die for my Lord I’ll never know the suffering Those scars did afford. All of the sacrifices Of animals before Only pointed to the ultimate Sacrifice I adore Of my heavenly Father Whose love endures Beyond the cross Our salvation ensures. Deep are the scars Found in His palms Because of His love A dying world His love daily charms He gives us hope for a future That we don’t deserve All that He asks us— Is to lovingly serve.
