Testament
Where has the beauty gone or has it ever been those precious years were now gone and all i see is this cruel sin Has the young heart finally bled is it lost to us forever all those childish dreams and hopes have bled to return to us perhaps never How can it be that this is the end how can we be satisfied i have lived here in this end it is in this life i have died Here we lay our souls to sleep here we put our dreams to rest it is in endless apathy that we do sleep and place our wavering hope to the martyred test I cant go on for much further still my body lay broken midst this cold my heart aches on from the numbing still who was i to ever be so bold I have bled and died upon this threshold i have given too much i lay shattered and crawling over this chasmal threshold with pointless hope as my only crutch No more tears are left to weep i am dried and spent my heart knew only how to weep like on a hot anvil it was bent I cry no tears yet those of silence i have bled from my last open wound there is nothing but screaming, weeping silence and for my part, it ends all too soon of the Anguished Hero by John Allen
