Unto Us a Child Is Born
Unto us a child is born; Unto us a son is given. Through this special child Our sins have hope of pardon. Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace Are among the names He’d finally bear Our eternity to release. He’ll establish a kingdom With judgment and justice. From the beginning to the end, A lowly carpenter’s apprentice. Taught by the Father daily, As He sought Him moment by moment, He was enabled to wholly serve Through His Father’s enlightenment. This child’s knowledge was amazing; It even astounded ‘the wise’. To His mother, Mary— It was no great surprise. She knew He was the child of promise; Her womb was His place of entry, Born for a specific purpose. Unto us this child was born; Unto us this Son was given. All our sins and grieves to bear Became His earthly burden. He died on a rugged cross That we might live forever. This child came from God himself; There’s been no greater gift Giver. © Copyright 2008-2011 Maureen LeFanue
